Les mardis 12 mai et 26 mai à 17h15, deux sessions de l’atelier dédié à la définition des valeurs de l’EPFL sont organisées spécialement pour convenir à des horaires étudiants. Si vous avez la possibilité de nous rejoindre, ce sera avec grand plaisir. D’autres dates sont également proposées à d’autres moments jusqu'à fin mai.

Vous pouvez également contribuer sur la plateforme en ligne spécialement développée pour le projet EPFL Ensemble. Voici deux exemples de contributions reçues :

Accessibilité à la recherche de haut niveau, proaction de certains professeurs

Le learning by doing est souvent la méthode d’apprentissage la plus efficace à ce niveau. Pourtant, peu de laboratoires recrutent des étudiants, surtout en bachelor. Certains professeurs font exception : accessibles et proactifs, ils ouvrent tôt les portes de la recherche et permettent de contribuer à de vrais projets. Pour les étudiants issus de milieux modestes ou non académiques, cela peut changer une vie. Merci à ces personnes précieuses qui rendent cet environnement si spécial et riche en opportunités.

There is a good culture of collaboration between students and teachers at EPFL

The barrier for communicating is low and students can and do approach teachers freely. Overall I believe there is a good trust that everybody is working to getting and providing the best possible education.

On Tuesdays, May 12 and May 26 at 5:15 p.m., two sessions of the workshop dedicated to defining EPFL’s values are being organized specifically to fit student schedules. If you are able to join us, it would be our pleasure. Additional dates are also available at other times until the end of May.

Accessibility to top-level research, and the proactiveness of certain professors

Learning by doing is often the most effective learning method at this level. Yet few laboratories recruit students, especially at the bachelor’s level. Some professors are exceptions: approachable and proactive, they open the doors to research early and make it possible to contribute to real projects. For students from modest or non-academic backgrounds, this can be life-changing. Thank you to these invaluable people who make this environment so special and rich in opportunities.
